ProCurve Networking Podcasts
ProCurve is now offering PodCasts for our New Product Training (NPI) and other select training and technology-related information as it becomes available.
What are podcasts?
A podcast is a collection of audio or video content in the form of a computer file that you download off the Internet and listen to at your convenience — via your computer, using an MP3 player, or with just a web browser. A podcast is powered by subscription software called RSS (acronym for Really Simple Syndication). Just like a magazine automatically gets delivered to your home when you subscribe, a podcast delivers new content directly to you -- without you having to check on a website for updates. When you subscribe to a podcast, all new shows will be automatically downloaded to your computer as they are published. And if you have an MP3 player, the next time you sync your device, your podcasts will be downloaded for listening on the go.

How do I subscribe?
You can "subscribe" to an entire podcast series using podcasting software on your computer or you can listen to podcasts one at a time (using your web browser). To subscribe to the ProCurve podcasts you will need the following items:
- Podcasting software
There are any number of free podcast programs (called "aggregators") that you can download to play your podcasts -- iTunes and iPodder being a couple of the most common.
- The URL of your podcast's RSS/XML feed
Below you'll see an orange and gray XML/PODCAST graphic . Using whatever podcast program you choose, by clicking on this, you can view the actual RSS/XML feed for that particular podcast. Most of the common podcast software will ask you for the URL of the podcast to which you'd like to subscribe. To provide this, click the XML/PODCAST graphic on the page and copy the URL that appears in the browser window.
Note: Some software, such as iTunes, won't prompt the user for the URL but will instead list podcasts in a directory on their site, requiring the user to go through the standard process of copying and pasting the xml URL into iTunes by clicking “Advanced”, then “Subscribe to Podcast”.
Please refer to your particular podcast software's instructions for specifics on how to subscribe to a podcast.
