Course description:

Getting Started with HP ProCurve Switching and Routing introduces you to the different types of switches available today and teaches you about some of the foundational technologies that are used on today’s network: virtual LANs (VLANs), static IP routes, link aggregation, and redundant links. This Instructor led training course shows you how to begin implementing these technologies on HP ProCurve switches and allows you to practice entering basic switch commands in a simulation environment.

Course objectives:

Getting Started with HP ProCurve Switching and Routing outlines the fundamental network concepts you should understand before you begin deploying HP ProCurve switches. With these foundational concepts in mind, you will be better prepared to continue your certification training by attending Deploying HP ProCurve Switches. Because Getting Started with HP ProCurve Switching and Routing also introduces you to the command line interface (CLI) of HP ProCurve switches, you will be able to configure VLANs, static routes, static trunks, and STP.
