Deploying ProCurve Switches provides the skills and knowledge necessary to deploy ProCurve switches and routing switches to support the basic connectivity needs of SMBs and enterprises. Through hands-on lab activities, in-class exercises and discussions, and facilitator lecture, Deploying ProCurve Switches covers topics ranging from basic device configuration to static and dynamic routing.

·         Basic switch security parameters such as passwords for management access

·         Software and configuration file architecture

·         VLAN configuration and design

·         Link aggregation using Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP)

·         Single - and multiple-instance Spanning Tree

·         Static routing

·         Dynamic routing using the Routing Information Protocol (RIP)

·         Designing networks with ProCurve switches

Deploying HP ProCurve Switches provides the fundamentals you need to successfully deploy and configure HP ProCurve devices to meet the basic connectivity needs of the contemporary enterprise. Starting with basic configuration, the course covers such key topics as VLAN and IP configuration, software upgrade and management, link aggregation, Spanning Tree, and basic routing.
